Our focus this time is on one of the most powerful healing stones Clear Quartz.  Known as the ‘Master Healer’ it is one of the most versatile and popular of all crystals.  It is said to be useful for working with any condition in healing.  Clear Quartz protects against negativity, it amplifies energy and is known to be a stone of power.  It connects you to your higher self and is a must crystal for use in meditation.

History

In ancient times, rock crystal or clear quartz was thought to be ice that never melted.  The ancient Greek word for crystal is krystallos a word meaning ice.   The Romans carved spheres or rings our of quartz as they felt it had a ‘cooling’ effect during the warm summer months.

Sir Isaac Newton worked closely with natural quartz crystal.  He discovered that by refracting sunlight through the crystal he could study the colours of the rainbow in greater detail.

In the modern day, quartz is used in watches, computer chips and electronic circuitry.

Healing in the modern day

Clear quartz is said to amplify healing energies and cleanses the body and mind of negativity.  It can assist with dizziness and motion sickness.  It also balances the metabolism and can assist with weight loss.
